Childrens Orthotics.
Paediatric foot
problems can appear early parents have to be alert for early developmental problems as children don'really complain when it comes to problems of there feet while standing or walking.
The first signs usually to look out for are:
*Excessive Toeing In or Out .
*Flat foot .
*Walking or Standing strangely.
*Stumbling or Tripping easily.
Help your children
to get off to a good start.
The early diagnoses of childrens foot problems particularly in the first
3 years as feet are rapidly growing. Proper foot function is crucial to all childrenalso its important as the
bones in a childs feet are soft and pliable and easily damaged by constricting shoes socks and even bedding. Proper
and supportive footwear is essential.
Toeing - Out.
This
is a condition inherited rather than anabnormal position difficulty. Sometimes children twist the legs bone (tibia)out
to far by sitting in "W" position or often over rotation in the hip.
Toe
- In.
Caused usually when the unborn baby lies with feet pressed against womb the
wrong way, it can be born with feet legs and hips turned inward.
Other causes are abnormal sitting and
sleeping positions. Difficulty in walking is common with a child tripping and stumbling
easy.
Flat Foot.
Many babies naturally appear flat
footedthis will disappear as the baby begins to stand and walk. Children with flat foot may find walking
difficult and hard for a child to keep up with other children cause of the added strain on the feet.
Specialised Paediatric Orthotics can addressany of the above problems.
